Bitcoin Straight Up is operated by Media Seeds Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (hereinafter "we", "us", or "the company"). This privacy policy describes what information we collect from you on bitcoinstraightup.com (the "website") and how we use it.

By visiting and using the website, you accept and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the website after we post any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. You must not access or use the website if you do not wish to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Who we are

The data controller is Media Seeds Ltd, registered in England and Wales. The day-to-day operator of the site is Mike, who you can reach at mike@bitcoinstraightup.com for any privacy-related question.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental or guardian consent. If you believe any personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us so we can delete it.

What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use the site.

Information you give us:

• Email address — when you sign up for the free Bitcoin Security Template, the Financial Freedom Calculator, our newsletter, or to buy the Anti-Course
• Name and contact details — when you email us, buy a paid product, or apply for 1-to-1 consulting
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processors (Stripe for cards, on-chain or Lightning for Bitcoin); we never see your card number
• Calculator inputs — if you choose to email yourself your Financial Freedom Calculator results, the numbers you entered are saved as custom fields on your subscriber profile in Kit

Information collected automatically:

• Log data — your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages you visited
• Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below
• Analytics data — aggregated, non-identifying information about which pages people visit and how they got there

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Deliver the lead magnets, products, and emails you asked for
• Improve the website and the content we publish
• Respond to your messages
• Process your purchases and provide customer support
• Send the BSU newsletter, occasional product announcements, and content updates (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email)

Email marketing — Kit

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to send our newsletter and deliver lead magnets. When you sign up, your email address is stored on Kit's servers under our account. Kit's privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email we send, and your data will be removed from active marketing within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your record entirely, we will do so.

Cookies

The website may use cookies to make the site work, to remember preferences (like whether you've dismissed a banner), and to measure aggregate traffic patterns. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Essential — required for the website to function (e.g. remembering your dismissed banner choice)

We do not run programmatic ad networks on this site. You will not see retargeting ads on third-party sites because of your visit here, except where embedded YouTube videos may set cookies independently when you click play.

We take the security of your information seriously and use commercial-standard practices to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. When you make a purchase, you will be directed to a third-party processor (Stripe or BTCPay) to complete the transaction — we never store your card details on this site.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (notably Kit and Cloudflare) operate from servers outside the UK and EU. Where this happens, we rely on the appropriate safeguards required by UK GDPR (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent).
